Enoch Pratt Free Library, Maryland Section
For those who do not know, the Enoch Pratt Free Libraries are the public libraries of Baltimore City. Located on the second floor of the main branch, the Maryland section is a god-send for anyone needing information on Maryland. They have county histories, church records, genealogical information, legal forms, guide books, and an extensive African American collection.
The Pratt Library index is online at www.pratt.lib.md.us/. The Central Branch is located in downtown Baltimore at 400 Cathedral St. (near Mt. Vernon Place) and can be reached by telephone at 410-396-5430.
Milton S. Eisenhower Library, Johns Hopkins University
Located on the Homewood campus, the Eisenhower Library has an extensive Government Publications department, located on A level. Many National Park booklets sited came from here. The AV room of the library, also on A level, has The Baltimore Sun from the past hundred years, on microfiche, but not indexed.
