ASCE Student Nights
Student Nights are annual regional events organized by the ASCE MD sections to connect civil engineering students with professionals, featuring a career fair, networking, scholarship awards, and a technical presentation.
Student Symposium
Each year, our Steel Bridge and Sustainable Solutions Teams travel to compete in ASCE sponsored symposiums, showcasing the projects that they work on throughout the academic year.
Sustainable Solutions Team
The ASCE Sustainable Solutions Competition is a student-driven initiative by the American Society of Civil Engineers that challenges collegiate teams to apply sustainable design principles to real-world civil engineering infrastructure challenges. Participants develop environmentally, economically, and socially sound solutions to problems like urban redevelopment and data center construction.
Meetings: Sundays from 2-3pm in Latrobe 17
Steel Bridge Team
The ASCE Steel Bridge Competition is a collegiate contest challenging teams to design, fabricate, and build a scale-model steel bridge. Students apply engineering skills, such as structural modeling and steel fabrication, to create a bridge that meets strict criteria for strength, stiffness, weight, and assembly speed.
Meetings: Mondays from 3-4pm in Latrobe 106
