CUFSM moves to GitHub

To align with more modern open source software distribution CUFSM is moving to GitHub for its release and source code, etc. The public repository of the most recent CUFSM v5.05 is available at the Thin-walled Structures Group cufsm-git repo page

The latest release of CUFSM, now version 5.05 as of 29 December 2023, is available on the release page. This includes the Matlab source code as well as compiled versions as a Matlab app (double-click to install if you have Matlab) and the Mac standalone version AND finally the windows standalone version. This release is in beta – having not been tested widely yet – but is expected to be more stable than 5.04 which was the previous latest release.

So, while these workflows are all common now, they are new to me, so this is a bit of a beta experiment. We have a lot of changes and improvements and ideas that we want to bring to the repo, so this is a means to try to get this going, In general CUFSM has become a bit bloated and I will be looking to streamline the basic code as well as work on supplemental tools that are more likely to be standalone. Note pycufsm is still under development my Brooks Smith for those that don’t want to stay in Matlab land.
